Let me introduce you to Calvin Lane a man who towers over most people
you will ever meet standing 7'6" and weighing over 400 pounds. Calvin Lane is a giant man with a giant heart to match. He
is an actor, spokes person, model, and athlete. Some of his acting credits include: Walker, Texas Ranger, with Chuck Norris,
Baywatch with David Hasselhoff, and Predator III where he will battle Arnold Schwarzeneggar. He was named the "World's Biggest
Fan" of the Goodwill Games in New York as well as being a spokes person for the World's Biggest Body Builders, the Weider
Nutrition Group. Calvin represents many Fortune 500 companies at trade shows who usually report to him that their booth was
the talk of the show.
Born in a small town in East Texas, his father
was 7'8"and his mother is 5'3". Obviously he got his dad's genes! At age thirteen, there was a tragic incident that would
change his whole life. Being a Cub Scout, Calvin went camping with his troupe in Texas. As they discovered the great outdoors,
they came across a stream. Exhausted from hiking, the boys wanted to drink from the stream. The troupe leader said it would
be okay to drink the water as long as it was flowing water, so they did, not realizing that some decomposing cows lay dead
in the water upstream of their location and had polluted the water. A couple of days later, Calvin began to feel ill. The
Lane family, thinking that it was just stomach cramps, did not pay it much attention. His condition grew worse and Calvin
was taken to a doctor. The doctor immediately rushed him to the hospital where he was diagnosed with Spinal Meningitis. The
disease spread over his body and affected his sight and hearing, eventually leaving him blind and deaf. Even though the situation
looked grim, the Lane family was informed only one other scout in the troupe survived the deadly drink of water. The troupe
leader survived because he did not drink from the stream. Young Calvin lost his sight for one year and his hearing for two
years. Through the prayers, encouragement and positive attitude of his family, he fully recovered and eventually excelled
in sports. In fact, he is a black belt in Karate and taught soldiers in the Marine Corps for four years. As an amateur boxer
won all fifteen of his fights by knockout. He easily bench-presses his own weight of 400 pounds. Calvin has a massive 62"
chest, a 46" waist, 24" biceps and shoe size 25-EEE.
Calvin went to Panama where he made sixteen
TV commercials. In one TV spot, Calvin is sitting in a small compact car with darkly tinted windows. The car is stalled and
an irate motorist behind him wanted to say a word or two to him face to face. As he stepped out of the car, first you see
this giant foot on the pavement, and then you slowly follow up the leg to an imposing figure standing and hovering over the
poor "unexpecting motorist" end of story. Calvin travels all around the world, he will go to Bombay to film an upcoming movie,
and has traveled to Costa Rica and South Africa to appear as a special guest at private parties.
He is very family oriented. Calvin is one of the kindest, caring and giving
people anyone would ever want to meet. Anyone who crosses his path and has the opportunity to meet him will leave with their
life impacted by his free spirit and outgoing attitude. The biggest part of Calvin is his heart as he demonstrates daily by
reaching out to needy children in Dallas, Texas. He is the type of person who will offer to help anyone in need. He's never
camera shy as he poses frequently for pictures with total strangers. Never tiring as he answers the same question of how tall
are you an unknown number of times daily. Ever meet a man who would give you his very last? That's Calvin Lane.
